NEW DELHI- CAPITAL OF INDIA
After we reach New Delhi, we went straight to our hotel which located inside the southern part of Delhi city(old Delhi). Old Delhi is a walled part of New Delhi, founded by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1639 and originally named Shahjahanabad. It remained the capital of the Mughals until the end of the Mughal dynasty and was later rechristened Old Delhi by the British. It offers spectacular pieces of architecture, a mouthwatering variety of food, and a living, breathing piece of history.
After check in and rest for a while, we went out for dinner. We walk pass the small alley, along the alley is mostly residential house, some shop and few temple. The alley were very small, and got few motor pass once in a while. The hygiene is very bad, there is feces, rubbish and some unknown material on the floor. At night,a lot motor uses the small alley. So it's a bit dangerous walk.
The houses in the small alley were fill with India's architecture characteristic. It's facade is highly ornamented but most of them were not in good condition. After the dinner, we take a walk around the area. There is night market selling cheap stuff. Few of our group mate get henna but they kind of cheated by the local. They agree with the price rs50 for the henna, turns out it's rs50 per inch.
